Webinar Recording - Taking Stock of International Student Regulations in Canada: A Dialogue with Will Tao, Immigration and Refugee Lawyer (PART I & II)

This two-part webinar, facilitated by Canadian immigration and refugee lawyer, Will Tao, will explore gaps and areas of interest for institutions in relation to existing international student policy and practice. 

Part I allow participants to create an asset map of all the relevant laws, regulations, and policies that impact student immigration. This will be useful and relevant for those institutions that are in the process of revamping their international student information websites or creating training/resource materials for either their third-party recruiters, faculty, or students. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to submit questions and/or highlight gaps and areas of further interest (in an anonymous manner) which will inform the second webinar.

Part II of this webinar, facilitated by Canadian immigration and refugee lawyer Will Tao, will focus on study permit applications, working while studying, post-graduation work permits, ESL students, misrepresentation and family members. We'll also take a closer look at reconsiderations/judicial reviews, institutional risk, mitigation/litigation and the increasingly broken pathway to PR.
